The precast floor slabs for the second-floor level have been poured. With this milestone reached, construction of the final floor is now in sight.

The highest point is expected to be reached in approximately five weeks, following the pouring of the roof slab and completion of the lift structure.

In addition, the installation of the window frames and the brickwork has started, giving the building more and more of its final appearance.

Construction is progressing according to schedule, and several important milestones have been reached in recent weeks. The foundation beams have been poured and the installations have been incorporated into the foundations. The hollow-core floor slabs were then installed and finished with a concrete topping, completing the ground-floor structure.
The sand-lime brickwork on the ground floor has subsequently been installed. Work is currently underway on the installation of the precast floor slabs.

In the coming week, the installations will be incorporated into the floor. This will be followed by the installation of the reinforcement steel and the pouring of the concrete floor. Once these works have been completed, construction of the next floor will begin.

After the holiday period, work on site quickly gathered pace. In the second week, the construction site was fully set up, the site access road and piling platform were completed, and all preparations were in place for the start of the piling works.

On 26 January, the piling works officially commenced. Within seven working days, all foundation piles were successfully installed. An important milestone, providing a solid foundation for the building.

Following this, excavation of the construction pit began in preparation for the concrete works for the foundation beams. This marks the first visible outlines of the future building. Over the coming months, the project will gradually begin to take shape above ground.

The demolition works have now been completed. Last week, groundworks started, including the construction of a temporary site access road running parallel to Grote Lijster. The construction site is currently being set up and prepared for the foundation works, which are scheduled to start in January.

In July 2025, Pleijsier Bouw was officially commissioned by Gaudium Real Estate to construct 42 care studios. The first preparatory works on site commenced in week 34.

The care studios will be arranged across three floors and feature a robust structure consisting of hollow-core slabs, precast concrete floor slabs and sand-lime brick walls. Combined with stylish brickwork and aluminium window frames, this will create a modern and comfortable living environment.
